Go behind the scenes of Native: The Prodigies of an Icon as the crew travels from the United States into Canada to document the modern revival of the American bison and the working lands that sustain them. Ranchers, scientists, and conservation leaders explain why North American grasslands—among the world’s most endangered ecosystems—need real market value for sunlight captured as forage and protein, and why large mammals require large, functioning landscapes. From a species once reduced to a few hundred animals to a herd now exceeding half a million, this series chronicles a rare conservation success and the stewardship it demands. Catch ongoing behind-the-scenes travel updates on Yanasa TV.
